London, 7 March 2013 - Talk & Vision, specialist in videoconferencing products and services, has appointed two new specialists to join the UK sales team. Gary Lea and Dimitri Smet will further develop the visual collaboration solutions for Talk & Vision’s global customer base.
Gary Lea worked for Tandberg and Cisco as Key Account Manager / Collaboration Sales Specialist. Bringing extensive experience to Talk & Vision, Gary will focus on one major global customer while he will also help strengthen relationships with KPN International in the UK.
Dimitri Smet is from Belgium and has been in the videoconferencing and Unified Communications industry for many years. Prior to working at Vidyo as a Sales Manager, he was Video Product Manager at Arkakin. Dimitri will be looking after a number of UK based managed service customers and be helping to expand the UC services provided into the customer base.
Scott Taylor, Managing Director of Talk & Vision UK, says: “IDC sees 1,3 billion mobile employees in 2015*, and Unified Collaboration is crucial in this development. Smart Working requires efficient integration of the various communication technologies and with BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) becoming the standard, mobile devices need to be equipped for flexible working and communication at any time, any place.”
“Research from Cisco** shows that the blending of personal and work lifestyles is a key component of today’s work environment and culture,” Taylor continues. “This is increasingly important in determining which companies will land the next wave of industry talent. Using innovative technologies, such as video meetings, employees can work flexible from home or another location. Travelling and fixed workstations are no longer necessary, because online video meetings now have the same look and feel as face to face meetings. With the arrival of The New Way of Working, the office is increasingly seen as a central meeting place to inspire each other.”
“I’m very excited to expand our team with two industry veterans, both of whom bring many years of VC experience,” Taylor concludes. “I am sure they will support the growing role of Talk & Vision in the transformation of our customers’ use of UC to provide a mobile working environment and promote a matching working culture.”
